Doug grew up on a farm near Lambert, Montana and received his engineering degree
from Montana Tech in Butte, Montana in 1985, graduating with honors. Doug began his civil engineering career as an officer
in the United States Navy Civil Engineering corps in 1987, achieving the rank of Lieutenant (O-3) upon his departure
from the Navy in 1991. Doug served as Western Regional Engineer for Hancor Pipe Company from 1991 - 1997, and worked
as a civil engineer for engineering firms in Billings, Montana and Juneau Alaska from 1997 to 2006. He started Treasure
State Engineering in 2006. Treasure State Engineering incorporated into a Professional Limited Liability Corporation
(PLLC) in 2007. Doug remains the firm's only employee and owner, and likes it that way!
